A relatively recent addition to Survivor. The HII made it's debut in Guatemala, and has been seen in one form or another ever since.

The HII functions much like the Individual Immunity necklace, in that it grants immunity to only one person at a time. However, the HII is not tied to a specific TC and can be played at anytime once found, up to a certain point in the game, usually F5, after which it becomes null and void.

Outstanding TCs featuring the HII

Fiji

The Fiji season featured 2 HIIs. One was held by Yau-Man (and his partner Earl, if he ever needed it). The other was found by 3 of the self-dubbed "4 Horsemen"; Alex, Edgardo, and Mookie, the last in actual possession of the idol. Later, Mookie told Dre (the 4th "horseman") about the HII.

After the merge, Dre decided to play both sides and told Earl and Cassandra (two leaders of the majority alliance) that the minority alliance, and specifically Mookie, possessed an idol. As an attempt to keep Alex in the game, shore up a dying alliance with Stacy, and eliminate Earl, Mookie was convinced to transfer the HII to Alex. The transfer was made, with Dre an apparent witness. Dre reported the transfer to the majority. After first changing the vote to Mookie, it was decided Edgardo was now the target to make sure of Dre's honesty about the whole affair.

At TC, after the votes had been cast, Alex cockily played the HII, fully believing that his "4 Horsemen" alliance would surprise the other 5 contestants and take control of the game. Instead, Edgardo was eliminated as he, Alex, and Mookie were summarily blind-sided.
